THE ENDOWMENT & PLANNED GIVING MINISTRY: The Cornerstone Society

Grace-St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Endowment was established in 1976, based on the Endowment Trust of 1963. On behalf of the Vestry, it is managed by an Endowment Committee (2022 Members: Bob King, Chair; Robert Gooch, Ruthie Lentz, Nicki Soule, Terry Trojan) to provide long-term capital that ensures that the ministries that define the mission and values of the parish will continue far into the future. Made possible by the generosity of past and present members and friends, the GSL Endowment provides the Church operating budget with generous albeit limited funds on an annual basis based on a certain average percentage primarily for the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Gifts that come to GSL through Planned Giving become part of the Endowment.  All gifts help to ensure that GSL will be sustained to nourish future generations and care for our sacred space in Midtown Memphis. The Cornerstone Society: Planned Giving Ministry provides an opportunity  to serve and benefit GSL by investing in its future.
