Instruments of healing in a broken world.

The Mission of the Church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ, and the church carries out its mission through the ministry of all its members. The Vision of Grace-St. Luke’s Parish is to be a thriving community of hope, belonging, and healing through worship, parish life, and service, and who rejoices in the love of Jesus to transform the world. In keeping with our mission, vision, and Baptismal Covenant vow to strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being, our Outreach Ministry empowers parishioners to reach beyond internal parish life to serve God’s people and the wider community through acts of charity and volunteer opportunities to further the mission of a particular ministry, agency, or organization, and our Social Justice Ministry.

Grace-St. Luke’s Outreach Ministry Team helps to develop, coordinate, and promote opportunities for parishioners to continue the work of Christ through actively serving the world in God’s name. This means using every means available to encourage parishioners as we understand and respond to the Gospel imperative to feed the hungry, clothe and shelter the needy, care for the sick and visit the imprisoned, as well as the Christian call to be an instrument of healing in our broken world.

Grace-St. Luke’s Servant Ministry Partners are the in-house programs and the Outreach Grant agencies (below) supported by GSL to serve our neighbors, within and beyond our doors. Financial support derives from operating budget funds the Vestry allocates for Outreach, individual donations designated for specific and general outreach ministries, and clergy discretionary funds to further the mission of these agencies and programs. Outreach Ministry Partner Contacts are provided with each initiative overview to assist interested individuals and households with identifying ongoing or seasonal opportunities to sign up and serve.
