Friends and Fellowship
Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) meets regularly as a group and organizes frequent events for young people. And you don't have to be a member of Grace-St. Luke's to attend! Many of our EYC participants go to other churches... or no church at all.

Redbirds:
The date for EYC at the Redbirds is August 29 at 1:35 pm. We will meet at the stadium 15 minutes before the game. We have limited number of tickets, so please email me at ann [at] gracestlukes [dot] org. Please check Facebook in case of changes in time and date. Ann Burruss

Jr. EYC - Sunday Nights
Junior EYC is made up of Junior High School (Grades 6 - 8) youth. The group meets at the Doan House (1768 Peabody Avenue) on Sunday Nights from 5:00-6:30.
Senior EYC - Sunday Nights
Senior EYC is made up of Senior High School (Grades 9 - 12) youth. The group meets at the Doan House (1768 Peabody Avenue) on Sunday Nights from 6:00-7:30.
Wednesdays with St. John's
Teen Group resumes Sept. 8. All our teens are invited to a joint Wednesday night program with the youth of St. John's Episcopal Church and Calvary. All youth grades 6 - 12 are invited to St. John’s Parish Life Center, Wednesdays, time TBA.

Diocesan Youth Council
Save these dates:
Aug. 28, 2010, 1-3 pm: DYC Fall Kick Off, an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship, for young people in grades 6 - 12 and their leaders at Gates Pavilion at St. Columba.
Dec. 3 - Dec. 5, 2010: DYC sponsored Bishop's Bash, a fun and exciting spiritual retreat, for young people in grades 9 - 12 and their leaders, at Camp Pinecrest.

Happening
Happening is a renewal weekend held twice annually for Episcopal youth in grades 10-12. The weekend provides teens with a way to explore their spirituality while living and learning with others their age who want to share the faith they've found in Jesus Christ. Teens lead all the activities, including small group discussion, large group activities, and singing. The environment is open and honest, as the adults present serve in the background roles of cooks and chaperones. Two priests serve as spiritual directors. Those who attend Happening are given an opportunity to experience Christ's love first hand. For many, it is the beginning of their adult Christian journey.
