Just the Place for the Next 100.

Scoutlodgegraphic

Chartered in 1920, Troop 34 at Grace-St. Luke's is the oldest continuously operating unit in the Chickasaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Joined by a vibrant and growing Cub Scout program and more recently by Brownies and Girl Scouts, scouting at GSL has never been healthier, the promise made to the future never greater.

To keep that promise, Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church and School have dedicated a house on Peabody to scouting and committed considerable resources to its conversion and maintenance.

Soaring, light-filled space for young people to soar. Plenty of room to spread wings.

Scouting has committed to do its part - committed to pledge $50,000 by the end of 2016 as a part of a total commitment to raise $100,000 by 2020.

Please do your part. Help us keep the promise in this place.

Yes, I'll Keep the Promise.

Scout Lodge Update

The first step was successful. We’ve passed our first goal of raising at least $50,000 by year-end, so the project is a go. We’re not planning to build it anymore, we’re building it.

A place for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. A place for Brownies and Girls Scouts. A place to discover, to learn, to grow. A place of our own. But the next step is up to everybody we haven’t heard from yet. Please take that step.

We still have a ways to go to fully fund both construction and maintenance, to be sure we build what we need and we secure it for the future. We want as many people as possible to particpate so can we can truly say that we built this together. Support so far has ranged from a benefactor’s single check for $25,000 to a Cub’s pledge of $10 a year for five years. They both gave what they could because of what scouting has meant to them.

For the next couple of weeks, you can spread your tax-deductible gift out in five payments over five years, but you have to make your first payment by December 31.
