Listen to the Extraordinary New Compositions That Celebrate GSL Church's Magnificent Tiffany Windows
July 14th, 2010
GSL is the home of seven magnificent Tiffany stained glass windows that date back to 1889. These windows are thought to be the largest collection of Tiffany windows in a parish church in the South, and window scholars recognize the windows as prime examples of the Tiffany palette. (Click for more about Grace-St. Luke's Church's Tiffany Windows.)
To celebrate this treasure, Luna Nova Music commissioned five composers to write new works inspired by the windows. These were premiered during Memphis' 2010 Belvedere Chamber Music Festival, and are now available in mp3 format for you to listen to and/or download to your computer!
