The committee that is seeking out a new Rector for Grace-St. Luke's has announced that visits to finalists are beginning in February.

The committee will begin narrowing its list of candidates to the 3 to 5 final candidates and begin visiting them in their home parishes in the next few weeks.

The committee has looked at more than 200 candidates. These finalists have already been through written interview, phone interviews, and in some cases, video interviews. When the committee visits their home parishes, members will interview the candidates further, meet their families, and interview references in person. After that, the committee will make plans to bring up to three of them to Memphis to see the church, meet some people, tour the school and talk with the Bishop.

In the ten months since the Vestry issued a charge to the search committee, the group has worked hard to get to the “visit phase” a few months quicker than was initially projected.
