Pastoral Care Luncheon at Trezevant
October 16th, 2011
While Pastoral Care touches are made regularly to some of our older parishioners living at Trezevant, we don’t want to lose touch with anyone who may not have current pastoral care needs. So to let them know we care for them, a luncheon was hosted there by Pastoral Care on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Fr. Richard and the Rev. Gayle, along with Noel and Sandy, welcomed a lively group of fourteen folks. Gayle commented that she hated to interrupt the wonderful conversation as she introduced herself. Acknowledging St. Edward’s Chapel and the fine care of our own, the Rev. Robin Hatzenbuehler, the Rev. Gayle let our parishioners know that even when they can’t be with us, they are in our thoughts and prayers. The Rev. Gayle offered that when they would like to attend Grace-St. Luke’s, our teams of thirty-five dedicated pastoral care members are only a phone call away for a ride to church, or any other pastoral care need. Fr. Richard updated them on the renovation and upcoming activities at the church. Noel and Sandy explained their roles as coordinators of pastoral care.
And all of us enjoyed the delicious lunch while being with our lovely parishioners living at Trezevant. We missed the seven who could not be with us, and it was such fun that we plan to do it again in the spring!
