The Youth Mission trip to New Orleans was a fabulous success! Eight of our EYC youth (Mac Armour, McCullough Cline, Ellie Ferguson, Henry McGehee, Philip Overton, Nathan Prosser, James Upton and Parker Rice) and their adult chaperones (Grant Adams, Lane Driscoll, Holley McGehee, John Stewart and Linda Stine) worked hard, played hard and made a meaningful contribution to the community.

Our group worked in teams and helped rebuild two homes in the 9th Ward, planted seedlings which will help restore the wetlands and assisted at a day camp serving young children.

Our last day we worked as a group building a playground. We started at 8:00 am and by 3:00 pm the playground, which included two gazebos, a theatre, a large colorful play structure, four picnic tables, art work and a garden, was dedicated to the community. What a miracle to experience! Our hearts were touched in a transformative way though our bodies are very tired.
