It is with great joy that the Vestry would like to announce that the Reverend Amy George will assume the role of Associate Rector when her Curacy ends June 1, 2018. Amy’s presence these last two years has nurtured our spiritual growth and supported our connection with one another. As Associate Rector she will continue to focus on pastoral care, teaching and preaching. Amy is a cradle Episcopalian and a native of Memphis. She has a BA in Communications & Masters of Education in Special Education from University of Memphis as well as a Masters of Divinity from the School of Theology at Sewanee. Amy taught school for 25 years and was the first female Warden at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Amy is a joy to work with and has provided humor, wisdom and stability during our transition year.
Meredith Day, our Interim Youth Minister, will be ordained this summer and remain on staff at Grace-St. Luke’s during her Curacy. As a Curate she will continue to serve our parish while receiving mentoring and support. Meredith is a 2015 graduate of Yale Divinity School and a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville. She has served our parish and youth well this last year and will continue to bring her considerable talent and enthusiasm to her new role.
