The 2010 Parish "Weekend Exodus" Was an Unprecedented Success

During the final weekend of September, over eighty parishioners of all ages attended GSL’s 2010 Weekend Exodus at Camp Bratton-Green. After a hiatus of over five years, it was great to see the parish retreat make a comeback with such wonderful support from parishioners, clergy, and staff!

Special thanks go out to the Exodus Committee (Christi Authement, Antoinette Cheney, Patty Liles, Kim Norris, Pete Shearon, and Nicki Soulé) for all of their hard work preparing for the retreat, to Jimpsie Ayres for the wonderful t-shirt design, AND to everyone who attended and pitched in with various tasks throughout the weekend.

The end result was a weekend full of fun, fellowship, and great food. With boating, swimming, the ropes course, karaoke, and just plain hanging out, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The Exodus Committee has reviewed the feedback provided and is already hard at work making next year’s Exodus even better! So, mark your calendars because we have already reserved September 23-25, 2011, for the second annual Weekend Exodus! You won’t want to miss it!
