Volunteer For A Committee

Your gifts. Your parish.

All Grace-St. Luke's offerings would not be possible without the countless volunteers who give of themselves to make our glorious worship and vital programs happen. Please consider volunteering your time or gifts helping one or more of these groups with their important missions.

Creation Care

The Creation Care Committee meets regularly to discuss both the theology of ecological issues and actionable issues such as the greening of our immediate surroundings. Its goal is to bring education of ecological issues to our parish community and to promote efforts to make our parish more “green” through basic efforts at recycling and energy efficiency. The group welcomes any volunteers and new members. Creation Care is coordinated by Noel Schwartz.

Pastoral Care

As a community of faith, Grace-St. Luke’s strives to care for its fellow parishioners in times of need. Lay pastoral care teams are made up of trained parishioners who comfort parishioners in need with cards, food, flowers, fellowship, and Eucharistic visits. Volunteers also maintain the parish prayer list, as well as coordinate flower and casserole deliveries to bereaved parishioners and those with new babies at home. Pastoral Care Teams are coordinated by The Rev. Deacon Gayle McCarty.

Welcomers

Welcomers/Greeters

Welcomers and greeters are vital to our parish. They make sure visitors feel at home, and direct newcomers to the nursey, restrooms, parish hall, and other locations. The welcoming committee also follows up with visitors who want to learn more about our parish. Welcomers are coordinated by Julie Denman.
