Richard T. Lawson

The Rev. Richard Lawson was called as Rector of Grace-St. Luke's Church in May of 2010. He is a graduate of Auburn University (B.A.), General Seminary (M.Div.), and Sewanee (S.T.M.). Richard was born and raised in Guntersville, Alabama. Before coming to GSL, he served as Rector at St. John's Episcopal Church in Decatur, AL. Richard is married to Katherine Lawson, and they have two children, Adaline and Evans. As Rector, Richard's primary roles are preaching and teaching, administration, and interaction with GSL School (especially in chapel services). The Rev. Gayle McCarty, Associate Rector, is responsible for Pastoral Care and Outreach. Before seminary, she was a prosecutor for twelve years and later worked as the administrative assistant to the Director of the Church Health Center. Please contact the Rev.
