Alcoholics Anonymous

Two AA groups meet at GSL on Tuesdays: The Phoenix group meets on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. The SOS group meets at 6:30 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. The group's primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Al-Anon holds weekly meetings for the relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve problems associated with the family disease of alcoholism. We believe the disease affects all members of the family, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.

NA is a group of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. The group meets regularly to help each other stay clean. Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, or S.L.A.A., is a group of men and women who help each other to stay sober. The group offers the same help to anyone who has sex addiction or love addiction or both and wants to do something about it. Composed of addicts, the group has a special understanding of the disease.
